Informational service
SnoopScout provides automated risk checks for online shops based on publicly available signals. The service is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice.
SnoopScout is not a law firm, financial institution, or consumer protection authority. Any output from this service is informational in nature and should not be treated as authoritative or definitive.
Automated and estimated results
All scan results are generated automatically using publicly available data sources, including domain registries, blacklist databases, SSL certificate authorities, and other reputation signals. Results may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.
No manual verification of scan results is guaranteed. A domain classified as Caution or Danger may be operated by a legitimate business. A domain classified as Clear may still carry risks not detectable through publicly available data.
User reports
User-submitted reports and experiences displayed on SnoopScout reflect the individual opinions and experiences of the respective submitters. These reports are not verified by SnoopScout and do not constitute statements of fact made by SnoopScout.
SnoopScout is not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or legality of user-submitted content. Users submitting reports agree not to include false, misleading, defamatory, or unlawful content. SnoopScout reserves the right to remove any user content without prior notice.
No reliance
Do not rely solely on information provided by SnoopScout for purchasing decisions, business due diligence, or any other consequential decisions. Always independently verify relevant information before acting on it.
SnoopScout is intended as one data point among many — a quick sanity check, not a comprehensive investigation. Users are responsible for their own decisions and the consequences thereof.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SnoopScout shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including financial loss, arising from the use of this service.
This includes, but is not limited to, losses arising from purchasing decisions made based on scan results, inaccurate or incomplete scan results, temporary or permanent unavailability of the service, and errors or failures in third-party data sources.
Liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence remains unaffected where required by applicable law.
Appeal process
If you believe a scan result for your domain may be inaccurate, you may submit a review request via the appeal page.
Submission of a review request does not guarantee any changes to the scan result. SnoopScout may review submitted information at its sole discretion within approximately 5 business days. If changes are made, the submitter will be notified via email.
Repeated or abusive submissions may be disregarded.
General conditions
Use of the service does not create any contractual obligation beyond access to the provided functionality.
The service is intended for users aged 18 and above.
Users are responsible for compliance with local laws in their jurisdiction.
